Earlier today, James Gunn and Peter Safran unveiled the first ten projects from their upcoming DC Studios slate. However, it doesn't appear to be a clean break from the Snyderverse that came before it. Viola Davis' Waller series is still going forward, and the co-CEOs left some room for the previously cast actors to return.
Via Deadline , Gunn and Safran expressed gratitude that they inherited four films from the previous regime, including Shazam! Fury of the Gods , The Flash , Blue Beetle , and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. And they seemed to suggest that the stars from those movies would...

James Gunn and Peter Safran have finally unveiled their plans for the future of the DC Universe , and while Shazam himself wasn't exactly front and center in the announcement, Gunn has confirmed that Levi is expected to continue on in the role. The "Chuck" and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" actor came under fire last week after sharing a statement on social media that seemingly expressed an anti-vaccine sentiment. Specifically, Levi took to Twitter on Saturday to express agreement over criticism of the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. Levi wasn't mentioned by name in today's video announcement...

For many decades, Marvel Comics and DC Comics have battled for dominance over the superhero comic book market. Each consisted of its own massive canon of superhero characters, occasionally printed massive, company-wide crossover events, and both produced multiple recognizable characters that have become a near-permanent part of the pop consciousness. Marvel Comics proudly oversaw the likes of Captain America, Spider-Man , the Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and, uh, Armless Tiger Man. DC Comics oversaw Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Superman , and, uh, Matter-Eater Lad...

The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is actually changing, just not the way Dwayne Johnson imagined. Peter Safran and James Gunn have finally unveiled the first stages of their multi-year plan for DC Studios , and there is a lot to be excited about. There are bold new takes on Batman and Superman (including the live-action debut of Damian Wayne!), as well as both Swamp Thing and Booster Gold - the best hero no one has ever heard of - making the jump to the big screen. Even Weasel is coming back to haunt everyone's nightmares. It is a brave new world for DC, and a radically cool slate...

Have you heard the news? Big changes are afoot over at Warner Bros. and their shiny new DC Universe. Led by DC Studios co-chairs and co-CEOS James Gunn and Peter Safran, the creative duo officially unveiled their new plans for the most famous superheroes in the world... and many lesser-known ones, as well. But it's not fully an "Out with the old, in with the new" kind of deal, however. As much as this shakeup might resemble a reboot of sorts, the reality is slightly more complicated as the new regime has to deal with the leftovers they've inherited from an admittedly messy era of...
